traditional Spanish-American architecture, central courtyard, spacious room
The hotel is in dire need of maintenance!!! Cleaning certainly left much to be desired, as evidenced by the overflowing wastebaskets!!!

My stay at Hotel Spring had some highlights, such as the spacious room and helpful staff. However, the room cleanliness could improve, as the wastebasket hadn't been emptied.

The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable, providing a solid base after a day of exploration. The hotel features a traditional Spanish-American courtyard, which adds a unique character to the overall atmosphere.
The building shows its age, with areas needing a fresh coat of paint and more attention to maintenance. I noticed a dangerously hanging electrical outlet, and the shower head was clogged, adding to a sense of neglect. Communication was also a bit tricky, as English wasn’t widely spoken, making it harder to resolve issues like overflowing wastebaskets in the room.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Spring. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helped me find nearby coffee shops, making my mornings delightful. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the historical district, giving me easy access to explore Guatemala City.
Room cleanliness could improve.

Equal parts impressive and disappointing
Spacious room with a comfortable bed, friendly and helpful staff made for a pleasant stay. The courtyard's ambiance adds a lovely touch, creating a relaxing atmosphere amid the traditional setting.
Inadequate maintenance was evident. electrical outlets posed a safety hazard, and basic cleanliness was lacking, shown by unemptied wastebaskets in both rooms.

Things I wish I knew before I tried it
Spacious rooms with comfortable beds are a plus, but cleanliness lags with overflowing wastebaskets. The friendly staff and traditionally styled courtyard enhance the experience. Yet, be warned about wiring issues and clogged showers that shadow a pleasant stay. It's a mixed bag that needs attention on maintenance!

Had a really nice time with the spacious room and comfy bed. Enjoyed breakfast at the cozy café. The garden area has lovely spots to kick back and just relax, perfect for unwinding after exploring. Only downside was a bit of noise from nearby streets, but it didn't ruin my stay at all. 😊

Just an optimal selection for a brief weekend stay in Guatemala City with good price value. The staff were helpful in providing directions to local attractions, making sightseeing easy. Consider double-checking the room for convenience before settling in.

The courtyard's ambiance provides a pleasing contrast to the less desirable room conditions. My room, while spacious and the bed comfortable, faced issues like a dangerously hanging electrical outlet and a clogged shower head. Staff were friendly, but the inconsistent cleanliness—evident with full wastebaskets in both rooms—needs attention. Enjoyed the nearby barbeque options, which added a nice touch to the experience.
